Haryana State-wide Surya Namaskar campaign from Jan 12 to Feb 12

Chandigarh, Jan 6 (UNI) The Haryana Yoga Aayog will organise a statewide Surya Namaskar campaign from January 12 to February 12 to promote yoga. The campaign will begin on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and conclude on the birth anniversary of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati.
To ensure effective implementation, the Ayush Department is conducting training programmes for yoga assistants. Sharing details, a spokesperson for the Haryana Yoga Aayog said that with the support of the Ayush Department, Haryana has created six world records, including a Guinness World Record, through this campaign over the past four years.
Under the campaign, each district has been assigned a target of at least one lakh registrations, and directions have been issued to ensure 100 per cent participation from all villages. Departments, including Ayush, Education, Sports, Health, Police, Arya Samaj, along with other institutions and major departments, will participate in the initiative.
Master trainers have received special training and will ensure the practice of Surya Namaskar in schools, colleges, and yoga centres. The Surya Namaskar sessions will be conducted during early morning hours following yogic practices. Participants will perform six rounds daily, lasting 10 to 15 minutes.
Participants and institutions practising Surya Namaskar for six consecutive days and updating details on the official website will receive online certificates. Registration on the campaign website is mandatory for all participants.
